Phymes Lab

System broken? Let's design one together.

At Phymes Lab, we conduct continuous user research to build genuine, human-centered systems for Australian care. Whether we're eliminating systemic issues, confronting unspoken friction, or measuring the true human cost of care, we strive to improve the lives of everyone we serve.

Our purpose

Built on empathy and trust

We believe the only way to fix complex care systems is to design them alongside the people who use them every day. Phymes Lab is our dedicated research arm, engaging directly with the Australian care community — participants, families, frontline workers, administrators, and providers. Your insights guide every decision we make, ensuring what we build is truly human-centered, clear, and trustworthy.

Designing a truly equitable system requires diverse lived experiences. If a system works for one person but fails another, it's still broken. That's why we actively seek feedback from all backgrounds and perspectives — because inclusive design is effective design.

Your voice isn't just heard; it drives the solution.

Current study

Pain points of the Australian care system

We're currently conducting a foundational study to help us map the critical friction points, systemic gaps, and unacknowledged burdens within the Australian care ecosystem. Your anonymous experiences — that overwhelmed you, the barriers you hit, and the daily frustrations you face — are what we need to redesign a system that truly works for you and everyone.

This study is conducted in partnership with EICSA Limited, an ACNC-registered charity committed to dignity, choice, and a brighter future for every Australian.

Your privacy and trust: Your input is handled in strict accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. We never share your personal data. Review our Privacy policy or contact us at Contact Phymes with any questions.
